UARA’s Sportsman division is back for its first race since late July for the Bigley Tune-Up 75, acting as a companion race to the National division’s Bigley Tune-Up 125. The Sportsman race is scheduled for 75 laps around the Freedom Factory, a .375-mile oval located in Bradenton, Florida.
Brandon Morris is on a hot streak as of recently, winning the prior two Sportsman races at Mobile and Citrus County, bringing the margin from first in the championship down to 16 points behind Tim Sozio entering this weekend.
Sozio has maintained the points lead, however a late-race crash at Mobile between himself and Bobby Mobley allowed Dylan Bigley to close that gap between him and Sozio all the way down to six marks, although both drivers have their work cut out for them.
Dylan Bigley, the grandson of the late Bill Bigley Sr., is throwing his hat into the ring at double duty between the Sportsman and National races, meanwhile Sozio’s car owner, Daniel Webster is entered with Dylan Bigley for the National Tune-Up race.
James Seeright (-24) and Adam Briggs (-36) are fourth and fifth in points, still with very strong chances at hoisting a trophy come season’s end in November.
