It remains a tight championship battle among the Top-3 in the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series, with nine points separating them, with three races remaining in the 2026 season.
How tight has the championship been? Just last race at New London-Waterford, Jonathan McKennedy, Ron Silk, and Ronnie Williams, who all currently sit one, two, three in the championship standings, finished second, third, and fourth that weekend.
McKennedy leads the way heading to the 53rd Annual Stafford Fall Final, coming off that second place finish at New London-Waterford Speedbowl on Labor Day weekend. McKennedy will look to bring similar pace he had in the 2025 Fall Final, where he was out front much of the race before being involved in a late race crash, ending his day prematurely.
Silk will be a favorite, as he has won the last two races at Stafford when the Monaco Modifieds have visited. Winning the 2025 Fall Final and most recently this past July, picking up the GAF Roofing Modified Masters. Silk sits tied in second in the championship standings with Williams.
Williams will be another driver to keep an eye on at the Fall Final, finishing runner-up to Silk in July. Over the last three races at Stafford dating back to summer of 2025, Williams has two second place finishes and a seventh place finish in the 2025 Fall Final.
With already a stout field expected at Stafford, there are additional names to be watching heading into Fall Final Weekend.
Teddy Hodgdon, who currently sits fifth in the championship standings coming off a sixth place run at New London-Waterford, but most importantly the last time at Stafford, picked up his first career NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour win in the family owned modified. Hodgdon and the Albernaz family owned 07 modified will look to get Hodgdon back to victory lane at Stafford.
Mike Christopher Jr. and the Christopher family owned 13 modified will be in action at Stafford. Christopher Jr. picked up a sixth place finish at New Hampshire Motor Speedway with the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, and has a win with the SK Modifieds in 2026 and several Top-5 finishes.
The field is filled with star-studded talent, Daytona 500 and Brickyard 400 champion Ryan Newman will be back at Stafford again, piloting the Dunleavy owned 88. Justin Bonsignore, Austin Beers, and Patrick Emerling to name a few more will also be among those trying to take home the $10,000 winners check.
