The SMART Modified Tour race at Caraway Speedway scheduled for Saturday has been canceled due to forecast inclement weather.
The race was intended to serve as the final race before the start of the SMART Playoffs. As a result, SMART officials have introduced a ‘Wild Card’ round at Orange County Speedway on Saturday, October 19.
The top five in the points are now locked into the playoffs, which start next week at Orange County. Points leader Danny Bohn, as well as Ryan Newman, Jake Crum, Brandon Ward, and Burt Myers have already clinched. However, one more driver could be added to the playoffs.
If any driver sixth through tenth in the standings should win at Orange County, they will be added to the playoff field for the last two races of the season after Orange County. Those drivers include Carter McMurray, Luke Baldwin, Joey Braun, Jack Baldwin, and Joey Coulter.
Should one of those drivers win and make the Playoffs, they will not be given bonus points. First through fifth will receive bonus points, with Bohn getting 35 points, Newman 30 points, Crum 25 points, Ward 20 points, and Myers 15 points.
