Can anyone beat Kaden Honeycutt? Well the jury is still out as Honeycutt swept the evening making it four races in a row that he’s won in the past 36 hours.
Honeycutt started the night as he left off at Watkins Glen, perfect. He won the CARS Tour Pro Late Model race at Ace Speedway leading 90 plus laps on his way to his second straight victory in the division.
“It’s everything that I’ve wanted in my entire life,” Honeycutt said “We didn’t get to come here and test for three days like most guys did, so we showed up and made the most of what we had today. I’m just the fortunate guy that got to wheel them today.”
Honeycutt won all four races with four different teams. He knows just as much as anyone how important it is to have the right people around him.
“You know they don’t get paid a lot and they do this because it’s what they love to do. Alex Roberts is our full time crew chief on the pro side and he’s the only one that works on it and he prepares amazing race cars. Thanks to him for believing me and to take over this No. 54 form this year.
Honeycutt had to fend off a challenge from Treyten Lapcevich. The two were the class of the field for much of the race. Lapcevich had his opportunity when Brody Monahan and Mason Walters got together off of Turn two sending Monahan for a wall-ride on the back straightaway.
Honeycutt held off Lapcevich on the ensuing restart but it was short-lived as Tristan Pena and James Seeright were collected and suffered heavy damage when Carson Ware spun in Turn four.
Jake Johnson would eventually pass Lapcevich for 2nd but with the 3rd place finish Lapcevich sits top five in both Pro Late Model and Late Model Stock points, a solid rebound for a driver who didn’t have a consistent drive just a season ago.
“I’m really thankful honestly,” said Lapcevich “2025 was a tougher year for me. Not being in the seat too much but you know, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship came on board, once again they helped me a lot in 2024.
“It means a lot that these guys have faith in me to put me in a race car. It’s good momentum for us, we’ve had good runs all year long.
