The third running of the ‘King of the Modifieds’ SMART Modified Tour race at South Boston Speedway, as it has the first two years, brings a stacked field to the Virginia short track.
Of course, you have the usual suspects from the SMART Tour like Ryan Newman, Burt Myers and the Baldwin brothers. Returning after a year hiatus, is Jimmy Blewett and highlighting the entry list is the 1995 South Boston Speedway Late Model Stock champion Elliott Sadler.
Noticeably absent is defending winner Matt Hirschman, who’s focusing his efforts on the national tour, making Luke Baldwin the only driver seeking a second crown.
$20,000 is up for grabs on Saturday, March 21. Racing begins at 2 p.m. and can be viewed live on FloRacing.
