The Chase Elliott Super Late Model comeback tour will run through the Slinger Nationals.

The 2020 Cup Series champion revealed on Thursday that he has filed an entry to compete in the 44th running of the Super Late Model classic in Slinger Wisconsin. It would be the fourth race he has entered this season following starts at Cordele, North Wilkesboro and Hickory, a work in progress that has gotten closer to producing a win with each appearance.

It’s also the first time Elliott will have raced in the Slinger Nationals, having filed an entry back in 2016, but withdrawing in the days leading up to the race. Elliott has long circled that race on his bucket list and it seems like it will happen in 2023.

Elliott joins Matt Kenseth as Cup Series champions to have entered the race following the lead of Matt Kenseth who is seeking a record extending ninth victory in the race.

The Slinger Nationals is schedule for July 11 and will air live on Racing America.
