The NASCAR Pinty’s Series says farewell to road courses and moves into the final homestretch of the season. With three races remaining, the series will make its final stop at the legendary quarter-mile, located outside of Montreal, Autodrome Saint-Eustache.
Following 13 seasons of NASCAR Pinty’s Series racing, Autodrome Saint-Eustache will close at the end of 2019 with the land being redeveloped in the coming years.
“I always loved this place,” said 22 Racing owner Scott Steckly, a four-time champion. “Once we got it figured out, we were able to be very competitive here and I’m glad that Marc was able to get his first win here as well keeping the tradition going with the No. 22 car.”
With the race set to be one to remember, the Pinty’s Series rolls in following a wave of controversy after CTMP. Following the final road course of the year, Kevin Lacroix claimed his second win of 2019, giving a bump-and-run to Alex Tagliani in the final turn of the final lap.
Tagliani was visibly upset, voicing his displeasure following the move. Andrew Ranger, the points leader entering the race, blew a tire after contact with Raymond Guay. The tire shredded and Ranger fell to the back, but he would later rebound for a top ten.
With less than 15 to go, a big wreck occurred leading to some hot emotions, and Saint-Eustache could be a place to expect some payback.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
The points battle heads to the final bullring of the season. Following CTMP, Kevin Lacroix closed an 11-point gap to tie Andrew Ranger for first in the season standings. Heading to Lacroix’s home track, the momentum looks to be in favour of the No.74 Bumper to Bumper team, who are still looking for their first oval win of the season.
Last year at Saint-Eustache, Marc-Antoine Camirand motored to his first career victory. While Camirand has had an up and down season, he moves forward with momentum coming off a podium finish just one race ago. The No.22 GM Paille looks to be one of the cars to beat.
No matter who claims on checkered flag, the final win at the bullring will be a coveted one. Canada’s best will be out in full force to put on one final show for the Saint-Eustache faithful. While drivers not fighting for the championship will be fighting much harder to score the win.
