A total of 26 drivers are officially entered for the 54th running of the Winchester 400 presented by Vore’s Welding and Steel, set for this Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Winchester Speedway. The crown jewel event, sanctioned by the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour, will once again feature some of short track racing’s biggest names, rising stars, and national champions all chasing one of the most coveted victories in asphalt short track racing.
Defending race winner and current Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour point leader Cole Butcher returns to the high banks of Winchester looking to make it two straight 400 victories. Joining him is an all-star lineup that includes Ty Majeski, the defending NASCAR Truck Series Champion, 2023 ASA STARS National Tour Champion, and five-time ASA Midwest Tour Champion, along with two-time Winchester 400 winner Stephen Nasse.

A talented crop of young stars will also be in the mix, including Dawson Sutton, who enters fresh off his Glass City 200 victory and recent Southern Super Series win at Five Flags Speedway; Gavan Boschele, the Clyde Hart Memorial winner at New Smyrna; and George Phillips, a five-time top-10 finisher this year with the ASA STARS National Tour. Canadian rising talents Chase Pinsonneault and Kyle Steckly will both represent the next generation of Northern competitors, joined by Kasey Kleyn, a former Northwest Super Late Model Series Champion.
The Midwest will be well represented by drivers like Austin Nason, a winner of major events including the Joe Shear Classic and National Short Track Championships, and Blake Rowe, the defending CRA JEGS All Star Tour Champion, former Glass City 200 winner, and three-time Hot Shoe 100 victor. Other notable entrants include Billy VanMeter, the current JEGS Tour point leader and three-time Winchester winner in the CRA Late Model Sportsman division, and Albert Francis, a former Jennerstown Speedway Champion and winner at Toledo Speedway.
The field also features Matt Craig, a two-time CARS Tour Super Late Model Champion and three-time PASS South Champion; Logan Bearden, a top-five finisher in the 2022 Redbud 400; and Steven Ulman, a JEGS CRA All Star Tour winner who finished fifth in this year’s Redbud 400.
