Preliminary World Crown 300 entry list unveiled

30 drivers prepared to chase $35,000 in Cordele

30 drivers have already signed up to compete in the return of the World Crown 300, which takes place next weekend at Cordele Motor Speedway in Georgia.

The World Crown 300 had been a staple event in Super Late Model racing, being held each year from 1983-2013 at the now-defunct Peach State Speedway complex in Jefferson, Georgia.  In 2024, the event was revived by Greg Noland and Ricky Brooks, and will be part of the UARA National Super Late Model Series.

Among the entries are Super Late Model standouts Bubba Pollard, Stephen Nasse, Giovanni Ruggiero, Gavan Boshele, Jake Finch, Derek Thorn, Matt Craig, and Johnny Sauter.

The World Crown 300 was one of the most prestigious events in Super Late Model racing in its 28 year history.  Many of the greatest racers in both pavement late model racing and pavement racing in general have won.

The list of previous winners includes: Dick Trickle, Mike Eddy, Darrell Waltrip, Rich Bickle, the late Bobby Gill, Freddie Query, Chase Elliott, Preston Peltier, and Casey Roderick.

The World Crown 300 will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 and will be broadcast live on Racing America.
