If Southern National gets 12 Super entries, they will be added to Thanksgiving Classic

If Super Late Model teams in the Carolinas back their words with actions, they’ll get a chance to compete in the Thanksgiving Classic at Southern National Motorsports Park later this month.

After only seven teams entered the Super Late Model portion of the event last season, promoter Mike Diaz excluded the division from the 2018 schedule. However, he received a pushback from Super teams saying they would go.

As a result, Diaz said he would add them if they committed to racing in advance.

On Thursday night, the track’s technical official Mike Bushee provided Super Late Model teams a means to participate.

“If at least 12 cars enter before the Nov. 10 deadline, we will add Super Late Models to the Thanksgiving Classic weekend on November 24. If not, we will refund the entries,” Bushee said.

The race would pay $4,500 to win and $300 to start. ‘

The entry form can be found below.
