Cordele Speedfest rescheduled to Georgia Summer Nationals weekend

Speedfest, which was originally scheduled for January 23-24 before getting postponed due to an ice storm across the Southeast, has been rescheduled as an attachment to the Georgia Summer Nationals weekend from Friday July 31 and Saturday August 1.

This effectively makes it a Southern Super Series and Cordele Motor Speedway Superfest doubleheader with two races on back-to-back nights. Both Super Late Model races will pay $10,000-to-win.

In addition to the Super Late Models, a wide variety of divisions will compete throughout the Georgia Summer Nationals weekend, including:

Southern Pro Series Pro Late Models
Modifieds of Mayhem
Pro Trucks
Outlaws
Enduros
INEX Legends
INEX Bandoleros

A complete weekend schedule that will detail who will race on which night will come at a later date.

From the press release announcing the reschedule:

Fans who purchased advance-sale tickets for the originally scheduled SpeedFest event will receive refunds back to their original method of payment. Once online ticketing for the rescheduled event becomes available, fans will be able to repurchase tickets for the July 31–August 1 weekend.

The Speedfest portion of the event will not count towards the Southern Super Series standings but the Georgia Summer Nationals portion does. However, both races count towards the Cordele Superfest season long standings that leads up to the World Crown 300 in October.
