A stacked entry list has been filed in advance of the Winchester 400 this weekend at Winchester Speedway in Indiana.
The field is expected to include recently crowned All-American 400 winner Donnie Wilson. The Oklahoma City native has always taken well to the 37 degree banked half-mile.
“I’ve always run good at Winchester so we’re excited about that,” Wilson said on Sunday. “We’re not taking (the All-American 400) car up there. That will be a different car that we’ve kind of prepared for Winchester so hopefully we can make it two in a row.”
As was the case in Nashville, Wilson will be challenged by Kyle Busch Motorsports driver Cole Rouse and former NASCAR Trucks regular Mason Mingus. Both posted top-5s behind Wilson on Sunday.
Another driver making his way up to the Midwest after a successful weekend is newly crowned NASCAR K&N Pro Series East champion Harrison Burton. Now that his NASCAR season is behind him, Burton is preparing to complete his campaign with some big Super Late Model races.
Reigning race winner Travis Braden is also on the entry list.
The 2017 Winchester 400 is also the Championship Race for the CRA Super Series Championship Chase. Like NASCAR, the championship will come down to a four-driver one race, best finisher take all showdown.
Those eligible for the championship are Johnny VanDoorn, Dalton Armstrong, Wes Griffith Jr. and Logan Runyon and each are on the 34-car entry list. The race will have a live PPV broadcast produced by 51TV.
