Battle at Berlin Boasts Fantastic Entry List

Ally Ross Photography

On a scale, it’s a Snowball Derby Sunday caliber entry list on Tuesday and Wednesday for the Battle at Berlin 250.

And a quick glance at the purse for the marquee event for the Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan shows why. The winner will receive $30,000 out of a complete purse that totals $90,900 for a Tuesday and Wednesday show.

With respect to the Super Late Model mainstays who are more likely than not to win, the headliners for this event are the Cup Series regulars to have made the trip over from Michigan International Speedway over the weekend. They include Chase Elliott, Erik Jones and William Byron. Josh Berry and Carson Hocevar are also represented on the entry list after racing in NASCAR over the weekend in Brooklyn.

Elliott is driving for his own team alongside longtime crew chief Ricky Turner. Erik Jones is driving for his own team that he won here in Money in the Bank back in June. Byron is driving for Anthony Campi Racing. Berry is driving for TK Racing and VanDoorn Racing Development.

From a purely short track standpoint, Bubba Pollard has made another trip back to Berlin and will be joined by fellow regional and local winners Jacob Gomes, Tyler Roahrig, Cole Butcher, Brian Campbell, Boris Jurkovic and Derek Griffith.

Defending track champion Evan Shotko will also look to defend last year’s win in the event.

Tuesday is a practice day with practice and qualifying set for Wednesday prior to an expected green flag time of 6:30 ET for the Battle at Berlin. A local Limited Late Model race will precede the 250-lap main event.

Wednesday’s main event airs live on FloRacing. The complete entry list can be found below.
