Kevin Harvick heading home to race CARS West opener

When CARS Tour West begins its inaugural Super Late Model campaign on January 25 at Kern Raceway in Bakersfield, California, Kevin Harvick will be amongst those taking the green flag.

“I’m excited to be back behind the wheel again in Bakersfield,” said Harvick in a press release. “I believe in West Coast racing and this is a great opportunity for the competitors to shine as well as bringing an exciting event to the community.”

The event also features the CARS Tour West Limited Late Model division, formerly called its Pro Late Model class, alongside the ARCA West Series opener.

Both the series and track is owned and operated by Harvick and west coast motorsports everyman Tim Huddleston. The series also secured title sponsorship from SPEARS Manufacturing.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for our competitors to compete alongside Kevin Harvick and demonstrate their abilities on a major stage,” said Huddleston in a release. “We’ve built this series to provide racers with the platform they deserve, and the season opener is a chance to show the strength of West Coast motorsports.”
