Dawson Sutton claims first Pro Late win at Nashville

Dawson Sutton claimed his first Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway Pro Late Model victory on Saturday.

He took the lead from Jackson Boone and never looked back for the remainder of the 100 lap feature. This is his third victory in the platform following a pair of victories at Five Flags Speedway last season.

“This Rackley W.A.R. team brought me a great car,” said Sutton. “There wasn’t much more to it. It’s a great car. Every weekend we come out here and fight hard. I’ve got a lot of P2s here, but to win here is a different story. Now that we’ve got it done, I think we can get a couple more. Hopefully we can come back in the Super soon and get some more.”

Boone went on to finish second ahead of Trey Craig

The next event at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway is the Battle of Broadway 150 on Thursday, June 27. It precedes the NASCAR weekend at Nashville Superspeedway and is a CRA JEGS Tour Pro Late Model race that features Cup Series drivers Josh Berry and Ross Chastain in the field.
