ASA Midwest Champion Gabe Sommers enters the Clyde Hart Memorial

Two time and defending ASA Midwest Tour Champion Gabe Sommers joins entry list for the Clyde Hart Memorial.

Sommers is the newest entry to a strong field that is entered for the 200 lap event.

2024 was a strong season for Sommers. In the Midwest Tour he picked up a win in the Hawkeye 100 at Hawkeye Downs Speedway. He had seven Top 5’s and nine Top 10’s with an average finish of 5th. His consistency was able to earn him his 2nd consecutive ASA Midwest Tour Championship. He was also the Alive for Five Champion at Dells Raceway Park. In the 5 race mini series, Sommers earned two wins and a 2nd place finish en route to claiming his 2nd Alive for Five Championship. The 2023 Oktoberfest Race Weekend winner is now looking to join the historic list of winners at New Smyrna Speedway.

Scotte is from North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, living just a few minutes from the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway. Scotte has raced at local dirt tracks for over five years, as well as covering NASCAR and short track races for nearly a year now, and has a firey passion for all motorsports, working to achieve a career as a driver.
