LUCAMA, NC – Popular Bowman Gray Stadium competitor Taylor Robbins picked up her first Limited Late Model win in a 602 Super Limited Series exhibition race at Southern National Motorsports Park on Saturday night.

Robbins, a regular in Bowman Gray Stadium’s Street Stock division led from the start of the race to the finish, putting enough of a gap on fellow Bowman Gray racer Robbie Brewer in the closing laps to hold him off.  Brewer was on Robbins’ back bumper for much of the race, but could not get close enough to make a move on the final lap.

“Dad kept saying on the radio that [Brewer] was a little loose,” Robbins said.  “So glad we could pull it off.  It was definitely fun.  I’m excited about our big race coming up here so this was good seat time.”

Robbins is one of the racers who will compete in the Mischa Sell Memorial Race, which has moved from Ace Speedway to Southern National Motorsports Park for the 2016 installment.  Robbins is a three time winner at Bowman Gray, with all three wins coming in 2016, but Saturday’s race was her first at Southern National.

“I’m definitely just Bowman Gray so this is a huge change,” Robbins said.  “I wish we could be a little closer to here because this was definitely fun.”

Robbins has already turned her attention to the Mischa Sell Memorial which will be contested on October 8th.

“I know we’ve got a strong car so I look forward to it.”
