Langley Speedway has increased the starting payout for the 18th renewal of the Hampton Heat, set to take place on Saturday, July 25.

The starting pay, which has traditionally been $500, has been increased to $885, matching the starting pay from the first leg of the Virginia Triple Crown at South Boston Speedway.  The race will continue to pay $10,000-to-win, as it has throughout its history.

In total, this year’s race boasts $43,745 in total posted awards, including a $500 pole award and a $250 halfway bonus.

The full entry regulations can be seen below:

The first round of the Virginia Triple Crown, the South Boston 200, took place on Saturday, June 27, with Kaden Honeycutt taking the win in dominant fashion over Trevor Ward and Landon Pembelton.

The winner of the Virginia Triple Crown, which is determined based on average finishes at South Boston, Langley, and the fall classic at Martinsville Speedway, pays $20,000 to its champion.  Last year’s Virginia Triple Crown was won by Connor Hall, who has nine wins at Langley in 2026, including a victory in the zMAX CARS Tour back in May, and finished seventh at South Boston.

The Hampton Heat 200-lap Late Model Stock Car race will be broadcast live on FloSports.
