MYRTLE BEACH, SC — Josh Berry picked up the victory in the CARS Late Model Stock Tour race at Myrtle Beach Speedway on Saturday night, his seventh win in the series.

Berry passed Myrtle Beach Speedway regular and the defending race winner Sam Yarbrough on lap 72 and checked out.  He survived a lap 84 restart, once again checking out en route to his second win in a row in the CARS Tour.

“That was obviously a good race for us,” Berry said.  “It paid off running last week.  I just tried to bide my time and I had a feeling Deac [McCaskill] would try to lead some laps for the points.  Just tried to stay patient.  It’s hard, 100 laps riding around.  You want to race.  I saw a couple of those guys start slipping so I decided to put a little pressure on them.”

Tommy Lemons, Jr., who was responsible for the lap 84 caution due to a tire going flat, rebounded from the problems to finish second.  Meanwhile, Sam Yarbrough, Christian Eckes and Deac McCaskill rounded out the top-five.
