Carteret County Speedway announced on Monday afternoon that five of their eight scheduled Late Model Stock Car races for 2021 will be run with an enhanced payout as part of the track’s new Fast Five Late Model Series.

“We’re excited to be launching our new Solid Rock Carriers Fast Five Late Model Series this year at Bobby Watson’s Carteret County Speedway,” track owner Bob Lowery said.  “Kirk Ipock has done so much for Late Model racing in this region and we’re proud to be able to work with him to make this series happen and continue making Carteret County Speedway the premier track in the United States.”

Of the five races that will make up the Fast Five Late Model Series, four will take place during the regular season and offer $5,000 to the winner. The fifth race on the calendar in the Christmas Clash will consist of a larger race-winning purse that will be announced at a later date.

Carteret County will also provide bonuses to competitors who win multiple events in the Fast Five Late Model Series. A driver that wins three races will receive $2,000 to go along with their winnings, while winning four races results in an additional $5,000.

Anyone that sweeps all five races will net a $10,000 paycheck.

The season-opener for the inaugural Fast Five Late Model Series will coincide with Carteret County’s opening night on April 3 alongside the track’s Street Stock, Mini-Stock, U-Car, Bomber, Champ Kart and Mini Cup divisions. The first green flag will fly at 3 p.m..

Fast Five Late Model Series schedule:

April 3 – 100 Laps
May 15 – 100 Laps
May 30 – 100 Laps
Aug. 7 – 100 Laps
Dec. 11 – 100 Laps (Christmas Clash)
