The CARS Tour has replaced the Mid-Atlantic Classic on August 22 at Orange Country Speedway in North Carolina with a Late Model Stock – Super Late Model doubleheader at Franklin County Speedway in Callaway, Virginia.

The current North Carolina COVID-19 measures prevent racing with crowds and CARS Tour operator Jack McNelly responded with a plan to move forward with the 2020 season.

“While it is unfortunate that we won’t be able to race at Orange County Speedway on August 22, we are excited to bring the Solid Rock Carriers CARS Tour to Franklin County Speedway for the first time ever,” McNelly said in a statement. “The high banking at Franklin County makes the track incredibly fast for its size, and we look forward to putting on a show for the race fans in southwestern Virginia.”

Both divisions will run 125 lap races on the three-eighths mile track.
