Philip Morris was fastest in practice for the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 on Friday afternoon at Martinsville Speedway.

Morris, who has won four NASCAR Whelen All-American Series national championships and is a three time victor in the ValleyStar Credit Union 300, ran a 20.269 second lap in practice.  Morris won 20 races during the 2017 Whelen All-American Series season.

Bobby McCarty, who won the Hampton Heat 200 earlier this year at Langley Speedway, was second in practice while Ryan Repko was third.  CE Falk and Peyton Sellers, who have both never won at Martinsville in spite of multiple attempts, were fourth and fifth respectively.

Rounding out the top-10 were Davin Scites, Jake Crum, Stacy Puryear, RD Smith and Timothy Peters.

Qualifying for the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 will commence at 8pmTomorrow’s ValleyStar Credit Union 300 will get underway at 4pm with qualifying races which will be followed by the 200-lap feature race at 8pm.
