Late Model Stock season begins with loaded Icebreaker entry list

Icebreaker kicks off 2026 season and the second I-95 Showdown

The 2026 Late Model Stock Car season kicks off with the 11th annual Icebreaker at Florence Motor Speedway, and what is now the second-year Ultra Racing Association I-95 Challenge opener once again features a stacked field of talent.

Drivers representing top regional programs, CARS Tour regulars, and rising prospects will converge at the “Diamond of the Southeast” including Lee Pulliam making the first of several early season starts, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competitor Kaden Honeycutt, Richard Childress Racing’s newest prospect Carson Brown, defending winner Matt Cox and Keelan Harvick.

The Icebreaker is also the opening round of the 2026 I-95 Showdown, a ten-race championship contested at Florence, Southern National Motorsports Park and put on by Ultra Broadcasting. Matt Cox, after winning the Icebreaker last year went on to capture the inaugural I-95 Showdown title.

In addition, three drivers that are featured in Kaulig Racing and Ram Truck’s reality series “Race for the Seat”, Cody Kelley, Landon Huffman and Jared Fryar. The series concludes Feb. 6, the same day cars hit the track for opening practice at Florence. Qualifying will take place Saturday at 12:30pm, with the green flag dropping for the Icebreaker shortly after 2:30pm Saturday afternoon.

The Icebreaker will be broadcast live on Ultra Broadcasting starting at 2:30 p.m. ET.
