Chase Burrow, the 21-year-old from King William, Virginia will drive the No. 5 Medek Corporation Ford Mustang in all 15 CARS Tour events.

With Burrow to Hettinger Racing comes his diverse racing portfolio. Starting at the age of 9, he began honing his skills by racing on asphalt, dirt, ovals, road courses and most recently an asphalt winged sprint car, scoring a win at Langley in October.

The 2022 CARS Tour Rookie of the Year is coming off a career year in 2025, scoring his maiden CARS Tour victory May 31 at his home track, Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway. This offseason, Burrow fought for a NASCAR Truck Series seat at Kaulig Racing as one of 15 drivers featured in the reality competition series “Race for the Seat,” which debuted Jan. 25 on FOX.

“Last season was a big step forward for me, and I’m ready to build on that momentum this year with Hettinger Racing as his team have built an impressive reputation for developing drivers and putting them in good, strong and reliable equipment.” Burrow said.

“The CARS Tour is extremely competitive, so to be with a team so invested in growth and long-term achievement means a lot. The season can’t come soon enough. I’m ready to get to work.”

Hettinger Racing has become a staple of grassroots Late Model racing and will continue their commitment to developing the next generation this season.

While expanding his operation to compete fulltime in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, team owner Chris Hettinger will again field a full-time entry in the Late Model Stock division of the zMAX CARS Tour with driver Chase Burrow.

“I firmly believe that Late Model racing is the best place to develop drivers who aspire to compete at the top levels of NASCAR, and as we continue to grow our program, it’s important to stay committed to that foundation,” Hettinger said. “Under one roof, we provide multiple rungs on the racing ladder for drivers to advance their careers.”

“Chase Burrow is exactly the kind of young talent we want in our racecars. He’s versatile, hungry and has already earned success on the CARS Tour. He wants more and we want more for him. We’re looking forward to working together and getting the best out of one other.”

Burrow makes his debut with Hettinger Racing in the CARS Tour season opener Feb. 21 at Coastal Plains Raceway in Jacksonville, North Carolina, live on FloRacing.
