Less than 24 hours after finishing 16th in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Timothy Peters earned the pole for the Black’s Tire & Auto Service 125 at Dillon Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon.
“Everybody involved on this team has really worked hard,” Peters said. “There’s still a long ways to go with this race, and the competition is so tough, so I have to make sure that I don’t do anything out of the ordinary and we can keep this position all race long.”
Layne Riggs will line up on the outside of the front row with Mini Tyrrell behind him in third. Rounding out the top five starters are Justin Johnson and Mason Diaz.
Two-time CARS Late Model Stock Car Tour champion Bobby McCarty qualified in tenth, while defending champion Jared Fryar finds himself in the middle of the pack with a starting position of 14th.
