With the entire continental United States largely thawed out from the throes of winter, short track racing will resume in full across the country.
That includes the offerings made available online for fans unable to attend any regional short track the weekend.
The rescheduled Bowman Gray Stadium season-opener will retain its free broadcast on FansChoice.TV. The road to the Snowflake 100 at Five Flags Speedway will be available as the Pro Late Model season-opener at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola will be available for Speed51.com subscribers.
Weekly action also resumes for NASCAR sanctioned Late Model tracks in Langley Speedway and Meridian Speedway.
Here’s a short list of short track racing streams for the final weekend of April.
Friday: Allen Turner 100 (PLM), Modifieds of Mayhem at 5 Flags (FL)
Augie Grill, Perry Patino, Justin South, Connor Okrzesik and Casey Roderick are a few of the names expected to make the trip to the Flordia Gulf Coast to begin the road to the Pro Late Model Snowflake 100 in December. The underdcard includes the regional southern style Modifieds of Mayhem Tour. The event requires a weekly or monthly Speed51.com subscription.
Saturday: Hayes Jewelers 150 at Bowman Gray Stadium (NC)
For the first time in track history, the season-opener for ‘The Madhouse’ will air live and for free on FansChoice.TV. That means fans will get to enjoy the 200-lap main event for the Tour Type Modifieds featuring Burt Myers, Jason Myers, Jonboy Brown, Tim Brown and Danny Bohn. The Cliftons. Andy Seuss. The undercard will also feature the Sportsman, Street Stocks and Stadiums Stocks … and maybe a fight will break out at NASCAR’s oldest weekly race track.
Saturday: NASCAR Night at Langley Speedway
The Late Model Stocks return to Coastal Virginia for a pair of 75-lap twin features to be headlined by Greg Edwards, Danny Edwards, CE Falk, Justin Carroll and Mark Wertz. Super Streets. This is the first race since Peyton Sellers won the Grassroots 200.
Saturday: Builders First 100 at Meridian
The premiere division for Super Late Models will take to the quarter-mile alongside the local Modifieds, Mini Stocks, Claimer Stocks, and Tuners.
Sunday: NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour at Stafford Motor Speedway
Five-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Doug Coby leads the championship by seven points over Patrick Emerling and eight over Jimmy Blewett, but defending champion Justin Bonsignore is poised for a run alongside traditional stars like Tommy Solomito and Jon McKennedy.
