This weekend’s Short Track Streaming Guide

Here’s what you can cast to your television from the short track world this weekend …

While NASCAR embraces its own form of bull ring action this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway, there is no shortage of pavement short track racing to be consumed all across the country online.

The CARS Tour will promote a two-day, $30,000-to-win Late Model Stock race at Orange County Speedway, the richest in the discipline that will be attended by nearly 40 racers. Meanwhile, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour returns home to New England for the Icebreaker 150, an event that will air free online, alongside the monthly Sonoco Modified Division.

Even the K&N Pro Series East will get on the free stream action this weekend from Bristol.

Here’s a short list of short track racing streams for the first weekend of April.

Saturday and Sunday: CARS Tour Old North State Nationals

CARS Tour and the Orange County tourism board teamed-up to create the biggest Late Model Stock payday in the region. It has attracted the likes of Lee Pulliam, Timothy Peters and Myatt Snider to do battle with series regulars Bobby McCarty, Deac McCaskill and Brandon Pierce. This is a two-day show with qualifying and heat races taking place on Saturday and the main event scheduled for Sunday.

Saturday: K&N Pro Series East at Bristol Motor Speedway

NASCAR’s brightest shining young starts like HHailie Deegan, Derek Kraus, Sam Mayer and Spencer Davis tackle the high banks of Thunder Valley for 150 laps in the Zombie Auto 150.

Saturday: CRA Super Series (SLM) at Anderson Speedway

The premier pavement touring series of the central Midwest kicks off on Saturday afternoon as the CRA Super Series opens at Anderson Speedway in Indiana. The race is also the only Super Late Model race at the high-banked quarter-mile before July’s Redbud 400.

Josh Brock will begin his championship defense at the popular speed plant against the likes of 2017 series champion Logan Runyon, 2016 series champion Cody Coughlin, defending JEGS All-Stars Tour champion Jack Dossey III and ARCA Racing Series championship contender Travis Braden.

Saturday: Show Me the Money Series (SLM) at Montgomery

The top Pro Late Model racers in the Southeast will be compete in the second round of the Show Me the Money Series at Montgomery Motor Speedway on Saturday night. After winning the Alabama 200 last month, Augie Grill will look to keep the momentum rolling against the likes of Casey Roderick and Connor Okrzesik. This is arguably the premiere PLM division in the country.

Sunday: Sunoco (SK) Modifieds at Thompson Speedway

Thompson Speedway in Connecticut is the latest NASCAR weekly track to jump on the free webcast explosion. Now you can watch as defending champion Keith Rocco does battle with the likes of Todd Owen, Kyle James and Woody Pitkat.

Sunday: NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour at Thompson Speedway

It’s the third race of the NWMT season but the first back home in New England following stops at Myrtle Beach Speedway in South Carolina and South Boston in Virginia. Doug Coby leads Jimmy Blewett by a point and Burt Myers by five points but tour stalwarts Timmy Solomito and Ron Silk is lurking, as is defending champion Justin Bonsignore.
