Super Fest continues with Georgia Summer Natoinals this weekend

The 13th Annual Georgia Summer Nationals are set to take place this Friday and Saturday at Cordele Motor Speedway, and the schedule, plus preliminary entries have been unveiled.

The Summer Nationals are a part of Super Fest at the track. The finale of Super Fest is the World 300 on Saturday, October 25. Not only is this weekend two days of racing, it also impacts the World 300. 

The ASA Southern Super Series is sanctioning the races, and offered a bonus to drivers participating in all four Super Fest races this year.

Series officials said the following:

“With the bonus money for starting the two September races your start money for the main event at the World Crown 300 would increase to $4000.00 with even more bonus money if you finish in the top-3 at the World Crown. The winner will receive $42,500 if they have run both of the September races.

“For those that competed in the first Super Fest event in February, if you compete in the two September events, you will be eligible for the full Super Fest bonus making it $5,000.00 to start and $50,000.00 to win the World Crown 300.”

Thirteen entries have been announced as of the writing of this article. Those entrants include, in order of announcement, Dustin Dunn, Stephen Nasse, Hudson Bulger, Jake Garcia, Michael Atwell, Jett Noland, Matt Graig, Bubba Pollard, Dylan Fetcho, Colin Allman, George Gorham, Jake Finch, and Jade Avedisian.

Friday night sees practice start when the grandstands open at 3 p.m. Qualifying starts at 6:30 for the Super Late Models with other divisions to follow. After qualifying, feature racing starts with Pure Stock (25 laps), then Enduro (20 laps). After those races, the Super Late Models have their 75 lap race, followed by Mini Stocks (25 laps).

Saturday begins with practice and grandstands opening at 3 p.m. Qualifying begins with the Super Late Models with other divisions to follow. After qualifying, features start with Bandos (12 laps) followed by Legends (20 laps). After those races, the Super Late Models have a 125 lap race to cap off the third Super Fest race. Crown Vics will close the night with their 25 lap race.
