After a stretch of persistent rain, the North South Super Late Model Challenge 100 at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville  has been postponed to Sunday afternoon.

The forecast for the afternoon called for a 100 percent chance of rain but the promotional group gave it a valiant effort. But once rain started falling during driver introductions, there was no window for racing.

The ARCA Racing Series main event was also postponed.

The starting lineup was set by practice speeds with three-time PASS South champion Matthew Craig setting the fastest time with an 18.450.

Defending CRA Super Series champion Josh Brock was second fastest, followed by 2017 Southern Super Series champion Stephen Nasse and former All-American 400 winners Donnie Wilson and Johnny VanDoorn.

Following a redraw for the top eight starting positions, Scotty Tomasik and Josh Brock will start on the front row for the 100 lapper followed by eighth-place qualifier Anthony Sergi, Wilson and Craig.

The North/South Super Late Model Challenge will air on Speed51.com at approximately 4:20 p.m. ET, following the conclusion of the ARCA Menards Series race, which begins at 2:00 ET. The green flag is scheduled to wave on the Super Late Models at 4:41 p.m. ET.

The race is co-sanctioned by the Southern Super Series, CARS Tour and CRA Super Series.
