SOUTH BOSTON, VA – Jeff Fultz picked up the win in Saturday night’s Pro All Stars Series (PASS) race at South Boston Speedway, holding off Tate Fogleman and Dalton Sargeant.

The No. 33 of Preston Peltier led No. 45 Kodie Conner, No.55 Dalton Sargeant, No.99 Peyton Sellers, and the No.8 of Tate Fogleman as the PASS South Super Late Models took the green for their 150 lapper at South Boston

Preston Peltier ran away from the field, minus the 40 laps when Dalton Sargeant held the lead from lap 12 until a caution regrouped the field on lap 52 after points leader Matt Craig spun after contact with the lapped down car No. 15 of Ron Young after Young made contact with the No. 29 of Spencer Davis.

With Craig down, but not quite out, Kodie Conner looked to gain the points lead until he spun coming off of turn two on lap 125. Both drivers later were involved in an incident on lap 128 and their nights were over

Peltier, with the dominant car throughout the race, appeared to have missed a shift coming off the restart. Peltier’s problems continued as his car stalled out during a red flag period and was forced to come to pit road and ended his race.

Jeff Fultz took advantage of the struggles with Peltier and Sargeant and lead the remainder of his race, winning his first race in the PASS Series.

“I just waited until about 25 to go,” Fultz said.  “We all had just about even cars but mine was a little better on restarts. I just kinda rode and the race worked itself out. Preston [Peltier] looked a little better on the long run than I did but we got it done.”

Sargeant, who had a potentially race-winning car left with a third place finish but feeling dejected

“The car just faded off a little bit more than we anticipated, and a little bit more than Fultz or Peltier,” Sargeant remarked.  “I feel like we had a really strong car at the beginning of the race but we just started losing it after about 30 laps on a run. We came in on that final caution to try to fix the car up and make a few adjustments.”
