Speedweeks is more than just NASCAR at Daytona or Dirt in Florida. As it has been since 1968, champions will be crowned in one of the most prestigious showcases of short track racing in the country with nine nights of racing at New Smyrna Speedway.
The 54th annual version of the event will take place from February 7-15. Several divisions under the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS) banner will run over multiple nights including Tour-type Modifieds, Super Late Models, Pro Late Models, Florida Modifieds and other local divisions.
The ARCA East Series, previously the K&N Pro Series East, will also open its season just 15 miles south of Daytona International Speedway as well.
Following an open practice day on Thursday, February 6 for each division, racing begins on Friday, February 7 with a five-division night featuring the Super Late Models, Pro Late Models, Florida Modifieds, Sportsman, and Bombers.
The second night will see the Sportsman race for the first time with a 50-lap main event. Super Late Models, Pro Late Models, and Bombers will also join the card.
The third night on Sunday will see 35-lap races for the Super Late Models, Pro Late Models, and the Florida Modifieds.
The largest crowd of the weekend will move from Sunday night to Monday night as the East Series race will now take place on the open night following Daytona 500 qualifying and the Clash at Daytona. The Tour Type Modifieds will also open its slate alongside the East division.
Tuesday will see Florida Modifieds deliver a 75-lap main event alongside a 50-lap Super Late Model race. The Pro Late Models and Tour-type Modifieds will offer 35-lappers as a preliminary.
Night six on Wednesday, February 12 is the first major of the season for the Tour Type Modifieds with the John Blewett III Memorial 76. Florida Modifieds, Pro and Super Late Models will also deliver 35-lap races.
Thursday February 13 features 35-lappers for the Tour-Type Modifieds, Florida Modifieds, Super and Pro Late Models.
Friday February 14 is the championship race for the Tour-Type Modifieds — the Richie Evans Memorial 100 and the Pro Late Model Zack Donatti Memorial 100. The Sportsman, Pro Trucks and Ground Pounders will round out the undercard.
The World Series of Asphalt closes out on Saturday, February 15 with a championship-deciding Super Late Model 100-lapper along with the final events for the Florida Modifieds, Sportsman, Super Stocks, and Pro Trucks.
