Rackley W.A.R Announces Snowball Derby Lineup

Rackley W.A.R. has announced their team lineup for the 57th Annual Snowball Derby, bringing new and familiar faces.

Rackley W.A.R. will field three Super Late Models in the Snowball Derby, and will bring in Sylas
Ripley as their newest development driver to make his debut at 5 Flags in the Pro Late Model Snowflake 100.

The Super Late Model lineup will include Dawson Sutton, William Sawalich, and Nicholas Naugle. Sawalich has raced for the team in a Pro Late Model at Ace Speedway with a fourth place finish and at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway with a 6th place finish in a Super Late Model. Naugle also competed with the team earlier this season in a Super Late Model.

Sutton, who is making his second Derby appearance, was the 2024 Pro Late Model champion at
Nashville Fairgrounds Raceway. He also made select starts in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series for the team this year, with his best run being a fifth place finish at Kansas Speedway, and will run full time in the series in 2025 in the No. 26 for Rackley W.A.R. with veteran crew chief, Chad Kendrick.

Ripley, who is the youngest team member at Rackley W.A.R., is only 15 years old, and has already found success in his young racing career

In his Pro and Super Late Model Rookie season this year, he won his first career Super Late
Model race at Oxford Plains Speedway, and won his first Modified race at Wiscasset
Speedway in his first Modified start at the track at 14 years old. He finished fourth in the Oxford 250 right after his 15th birthday, and in doing so, became one of the youngest drivers to finish inside the top 5 at the event.

During the Pro All Star Series 400 Weekend at Oxford Plains Speedway (PASS 400), Sylas won
Segment one and Segment three of the event, and ultimately finished in third place.

“What a great opportunity to be able to drive one of the best in the short track business; the No.
25 car in the Snowflake 100,” said Ripley. “I can’t wait to work with a new team and run a new
track. This couldn’t be possible without Team Hornaday Development, my sponsor Maine-ly
Concrete Pumping, my mom, dad, and Ryan Ripley as well. I must also thank my whole team
back home for being behind me.”

Dawson Sutton will have Rackley Roofing Co, Inc. and W.A.R. Shocks as his event sponsors. Sawalich will be sponsored by his regular Soundgear and Starkey Hearing brands, and William Naugle will be sponsored by Brycon Construction Racing.

Team president, Willie Allen, said this is a big step for Rackley W.A.R.’s late model program,
and that the team have worked tirelessly to get all four cars ready for Derby weekend.

“This is a huge event for us,” said Allen. We have some great drivers, and the entire crew is working around the clock to get these cars fast and ready to go. We tested there a week or so ago with really good results, and everyone is super-pumped to get back there and race. I’m very proud of everyone’s hard work and dedication going into this event.”

Rackley W.A.R. will continue to release information leading up to the Derby, including
paint scheme reveals for all their drivers.

Seems odd that your article has no comment about Ty Majeski…maybe because he is from Wisconsin.

I don’t know, Mike. It might be because it’s a fucking story about Rackley WAR.
