Jett Motorsports will see Kaden Honeycutt piloting the Larry Blount No. 21 Super Late Model in the Snowball Derby and Derek Thorn will run the No. 16 Pro Late Model in the Snowflake 100.
Kaden Honeycutt, the 2024 CARS Tour Pro Late Model Champion, looks to carry his momentum into the Derby weekend with Jett Motorsports. Honeycutt has four starts in the Derby, with a great top-five finish in 2020. Back behind the wheel of a Super Late Model, Honeycutt will try to add one more trophy to his 2024 case.
Derek Thorn, the 2022 Snowball Derby winner, will pilot the No. 16 Pro Late Model in the Snowflake 100. Thorn also has two Snowflake 100 wins to his credit, in 2019 and 2021. Thorn is known as one of the best racers in marquee events, and is expected to be a strong contender again this year.
Thorn will be running a special tribute scheme honoring Jeff Sandlin, a close friend in the racing community who passed away earlier this year in 2024. Jett Motorsports will honor his memory by running the No. 16 on the entry, Sandlin’s baseball number. The hood will also feature a special tribute to celebrate Jeff’s life and legacy.
“Jeff meant a lot to so many of us, and we’re proud to honor him in this way,” noted Jett [Pat]. “His spirit will ride with us as we compete this weekend.”
The teams will be sponsored by Jett Concrete Inc, Strange Oval, Factory Canopy, The Dock Pensacola Beach, Derek Thorn Racing, Dynamic Storm Solutions, and Cook Electrical.
