As first reported by RaceDayCT.com, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will return to Jennerstown Speedway in 2020 on Saturday, May 23.
Jennerstown is the third new addition added to the 2020 schedule — joining recently announced dates of Martinsville Speedway (May 8) and Iowa Speedway (July 31-August 1). Stafford Motor Speedway also confirmed via their Facebook page that the annual NAPA Spring Sizzler will take place April 24-25, 2020.
The addition of Jennerstown adds another key track in the Western New York/Pennsylvania area, joining the expected return of Oswego Speedway on the annual Bud Classic Weekend in 2020.
In 14 previous Whelen Modified Tour Jennerstown races, five-time series champion Tony Hirschman had three wins, while Mike Stefanik and Steve Park had two each. Ted Christopher went to Victory Lane in the last event in 2006.
