Rain postpones CARS Tour at North Wilkesboro

CARS Tour at North Wilkesboro has been rained out to a date to be determined later.

A rainout of the Pro Late Model division on Tuesday night set up a same day doubleheader with the Late Model Stock division on Wednesday night but sporadic ill-timed showers ultimately led to the postponement of the event.

While there were certainly head scratching decisions, like technical inspection leading to a window where both time trial sessions could have been completed during the afternoon, ultimately there were forecasts that suggested that the decisive showers could have lingered into the overnight hours.

The storms ended shortly after the postponement decision was made and teams already started to head out after spending three days at the venerable short track and paying entrant fees and buying tires.

For those who purchased tickets for the event, a request for credit can be made towards all races at North Wilkesboro Speedway through May of 2025 or a refund.

Details on the rescheduled race date will be made later.

Thursday was not a viable option for the races as NASCAR on FOX television logistics would need to begin taking place that morning in advance of the Cup Series All Star Race. Cup Series and Truck Series haulers start moving in on Thursday evening as well.
