The rebranded Goodyear All American Speedway is set to hold its first race on July 31 with two Late Model Stock features headlining the All American Showdown.

Veteran racer Anthony Goodyear has taken over management of what was Coastal Plains Raceway Park alongside his wife Tonya and is eager to launch his vision for the facility in just a few short weeks.

“The inaugural race at Goodyear All American Speedway is going to be an intense night,” Goodyear said.  “We’re looking forward to getting our first race in and seeing our racing family at the track.  Troy and Ronnie Humphrey presented us with an opportunity too good to turn down and we’re enjoying the challenge of bringing this track back to life.”

With Goodyear’s leadership, All American Speedway will continue a proud tradition of racing on the Coastal Plains that has included events for the NASCAR Goody’s Dash Series, Slim Jim All Pro Series and USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series.

Goodyear has already been hard at work making enhancements at All American Speedway for a new generation of fans. Among the improvements include fresh paint on the walls, improved concessions and a family section in the grandstands.

For Late Model Stock competitors, American Racer scuff tires will be used for the opening race but Goodyear hopes that more sets will be obtained in the coming weeks and months as production issues with manufactures ease. Tires will cost $170 per set with mounting fees and taxes included.

Two free open practices will be held at All American Raceway on July 24 and July 28, with a third session on July 30 costing $25 per car. The track is also available by rent for appointment only at a cost of $150 for four hours.

The first of two 40-lap Late Model Stock features is schedule to take place at 7 p.m., with the second race concluding festivities for the All American Showdown.
