Dale Jr., JR Motorsports revives retro NASCAR scheme in Late Model Stocks

JR Motorsports

Dale Earnhardt Jr. will once again enter the South Carolina 400 at Florence Motor Speedway on November 22-23 but will do so in familiar colors.

It’s the stylized Budweiser No. 8.

Earnhardt and JR Motorsports have spent much of the past year working to acquire the rights to the Dale Earnhardt Inc. font that the two-time Daytona 500 used from 1999 to 2007. His brand team have successfully done so and will partner with The King of Beers starting this fall at Florence and for select Late Model Stock races next season as well.

The return of this scheme ends a 17 year hiatus for Earnhardt and Budweiser.

“It is an incredible opportunity for me to be able to reunite with Budweiser, and the No. 8,” said Earnhardt Jr. in a release. “Budweiser and I had some great memories with that iconic scheme and number. We’ve always supported each other over the years. It’s going to be really special for me to be able to represent that brand on the racetrack again.”

There will also be a merchandise line available at shopjrnation.com.
