Since Connor Hall returned home to Langley a month ago he’s been undefeated. Saturday night he won his fifth and sixth race in a row at his home track not even including the CARS Tour race last weekend.
Race 1 saw battles all throughout the field but they were all behind Hall. He started on point and was uncontested, leading flag to flag.
“Always awesome to end up in Dale Lemonds Victory Lane,” Hall said on the FloRacing broadcast “Collective effort with the hauler swap and all the other mess that we had to go through today. These guys do an incredible job as they do every week. Just looking forward to the next one.”
Hall would start ninth after the invert for the second 50 lap feature. Greg Edwards and Matt Waltz started on the front row and swapped the lead amongst themselves in the early stages while Hall mounted his charge. Ayden Millette stopped in Turn 2 on Lap 13 to bring out the caution, on the restart Hall was able to break into the top five.
Lap 21 the Edwards brothers get together in Turn 3 with Danny spinning Greg. Another quick yellow for Craig Eastep and on the restart Hall restarted alongside Waltz and took the lead around the top on Lap 25. One final caution for Atley Wiese but no one could touch Hall.
“This place, it definitely shocked me right there,” Hall told FloRacing “A lot freer on the gas pedal than I expected. Today was just a bit out of the ordinary as a whole. Matt (Waltz) had a great car and it’s been a while since he’s raced out here consistently so it’s awesome to have a little battle with him.”
Hall won two national titles as a Langley regular and with the dominance he’s shown lately a third national title in the conversation.
