Carteret Cancels Upcoming Race for Repairs After CARS Tour Fiasco

Andy Marquis/CARS Tour photo

The racing program scheduled for Saturday, September 19th at Bobby Watson’s Carteret County Speedway has been canceled for track repairs.

The cancelation comes after a portion of the track came apart during Saturday night’s Solid Rock Carriers 125, causing multiple delays, which came after days of rain.  Carteret County Speedway will work to repair the track and make sure the surface is safe to race on.

There is no timeline for the completion of repairs.  As of now, the next event is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd.
