Crew Member Tries to Fight CARS Tour Driver Tending to Another After Crash

The CARS Late Model Stock Tour race on Friday night at Ace Speedway featured both a horrific crash and what could only best be described as ill-timed animosity.

On Lap 67, just three laps into a green flag run, Ryan Wilson and Chase Burrow slammed hard into the Turn 1 wall. The impact sent Burrow upside down while compromising the chassis of the Wilson car and setting it on fire.

They had been tussling for position the previous two runs, but Wilson immediately leapt out of his car and ran over to check on Burrow. He first crawled into the passenger side, couldn’t get to Burrow, and then ran over to the driver side to assist his fellow competitor.

There, he was met by crew members working on the Burrow car, one of them who began attacking Wilson over the incident that transpired between them.
