CARS Tour announces 15 race schedule for 2027 season

Series will visit 15 different tracks, including two new venues, in 13th season

Andy Marquis | STS

For the first time in series history, the zMAX CARS Tour will have 15 races at 15 different tracks when the 2027 season goes green in February.

The Cleetus McFarland owned and operated Freedom Factory in Bradenton, Florida will host the season opener on Saturday, February 6, with Late Model Stocks and Pro Late Models both on the schedule, marking the first time the series have raced in the Sunshine State.  Freedom Factory is one of two new venues on the schedule, with the other being the picturesque Lonesome Pine Raceway in Coeburn, Virginia, which will host the series on Saturday, June 19.

Lonesome Pine replaces Dominion Raceway, which had hosted 10 prior CARS Tour races and had been a staple on the schedule since 2019.  Florence Motor Speedway, which had hosted races every year dating back to 2020, is also notably absent from the 2027 schedule.

The second race of the season will be held at Southern National, which hosted the season opener in 2026 after the originally scheduled opener at Coastal Plains Raceway fell through.  The Southern National race will take place on Saturday, February 27, kicking off Southern National’s annual Speedweeks tradition – which also includes the Jerry Moody Memorial.

The quarter-mile Wake County Speedway bullring in Raleigh, North Carolina will host the season’s third race on Saturday, March 20, and will be the first of only two races that will not include the CARS Pro Late Model Tour, with the other race being the June 5 race at Langley Speedway in Hampton, Virginia.

Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway will host the series on Saturday, April 10, followed by Caraway Speedway on April 24, and Ace Speedway on Saturday, May 8.  Then, on Wednesday, May 19, the CARS Tour will contest one of its biggest races of the year at North Wilkesboro Speedway.

After races at Langley Speedway and Lonesome Pine in June, the series will take July off and then resume with another highlight event at Hickory Motor Speedway on Saturday, August 7 – the 24th race at Hickory.

Anderson Motor Speedway will host the lone South Carolina date on Saturday, August 21.  The following week, the always thrilling Tri-County Speedway will host its lone CARS Tour date.

Pulaski County Motorsports Park returns to the schedule for the first time since 2022 with a race on Saturday, September 11.  Tennessee’s Newport Speedway will host the penultimate race on the 2027 CARS Tour season schedule on Saturday, September 25.  South Boston Speedway will once again host the season finale on Saturday, October 16.

The 2027 zMAX CARS Tour will be broadcast on FloRacing after the series and its television partner reached an agreement to extend their broadcast rights deal. FloRacing has been the exclusive broadcast partner of the CARS Tour since 2023.
