UARA Postpones Off Broadway 125

Daniel Vining

The United Auto Racing Association originally had its final Pro Late Model race slated to run this Saturday, July 18th, at Veteran’s Motorplex for the Off Broadway 125. However, the weather has other plans for this weekend.

UARA and Veteran’s Motorplex officials have been persistently observing the forecast throughout the week in Ridgetop, Tennessee at the .333-mile oval. With storms rolling in from Thursday and lasting throughout the full weekend, they came together to make the decision of postponing the Off Broadway 125.

UARA stated in the official release below the officials “held out hope the forecast would improve, but with the high probability of rain, we felt it was in everyone’s best interest to make the call now.” The forecast in Ridgetop, Tennessee has a forecast for high precipitation chances each afternoon until Monday, July 20th.

The good news to come from this announcement is the confirmation of a future date to ensure this final race in the UARA Pro Late Model season is seen through. The compromise with this is that the Off Broadway 125 will now be taking place on the Saturday of October 10th, leaving a near three month hiatus from the original date scheduled.
