Kasey Kleyn goes Truckin’ and outlines revised late model schedule

Daniel Vining

A few short weeks ago, Kasey Kleyn announced that he and Trevor Cristiani Racing were parting ways after having raced together since 2024 in Pro and Super Late Models across the country.

Fast forward to Monday and the Northwest native was announced as the latest driver to be added to the roster at Rackey WAR Racing, in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

From the official announcement, “It’s official, I will be making my NASCAR Trucks debut in the No. 27 Rackley WAR Truck at North WilkesboroSpeedway! Thank you to everyone who has helped me get here, crew, family, fans and sponsors! I wouldn’t be here without all of you.”

Kleyn’s first race with Rackely WAR on June 18th at North Wilkesboro Speedway will be followed up with four more races; Richmond, Bristol, Charlotte and Martinsville.

In addition to announcing his first Truck Series start, Kleyn also announced a revised late model schedule for the remainder of 2026. This new slate of races will see the young driver continue to battle on the ASA STARS Tour, plus the addition of his first foray into the CARS Tour and late model stock car world.

Details surrounding exactly what teams Kleyn will be racing with moving forward in late models have yet to be finalized, with the exception of his plans for the Wenatchee 200 on May 30th. There, Kleyn will be teaming up with Anthony Campi and Anthony Campi Racing.

When asked about the change from TCR to Rackely WAR, and the updated schedule, Kleyn responded in his normal subtle yet matter of fact tone.

“We just couldn’t find common ground on things anymore [at TCR],” said Kleyn. “I have a really cool opportunity coming up so that’ll be good!”

Beyond the ASA STARS and CARS Tour races, Kleyn will also enter races at the aforementioned Wenatchee 200 in Washington in May, the Valleystar 300 at Martinsville in September, and the Snowball Derby at Pensacola in December.
