Connor Hall won the 2025 Virginia Triple Crown championship after a 11th place finish in the ValleyStar Credit Union 300.
Hall won the South Boston 200 to start the Triple Crown, then had a runner-up finish in the Hampton Heat. His 11th place run at Martinsville gives him a 4.66 average finish to win the championship.
“I’m super excited about winning the Triple Crown,” Hall said. “I remember my first Triple Crown race when I was 18 [years old] or so. Kind of a decade of work put in. This is my third time running all the Triple Crown events. To be able to come away with it after falling short last year is pretty cool. Super stoked about that.
“[I’m] happy for my JR Motorsports guys. I’m happy to bring home a Triple Crown for Dale, Kelly, and JR Motorsports. I grew up not getting an opportunity to race on a platform this big. To be here and do it now and come away with the Virginia Triple Crown is a huge success.”
Hall would rank this as the best achievement of his career if he won the race, but he ranks it number two.
“I would number one if it came with a grandfather clock,” Hall said. “It’s probably second to a national title. Growing up a Virginia native, I grew up watching guys like Philip Morris and Lee Pulliam go at it for this Triple Crown each year and wish that I’d have the opportunity to do so. Ten years later I would never imagine doing so with JR Motorsports.
“Lee [Pulliam] said the same thing earlier today. It’s so easy to get complacent and not be thankful and live in the moment. As a racer you’re always chasing the next best thing. You’re always wanting more. If I could go back in time and tell 18 year old Connor Hall that he was going to win a Triple Crown with Dale Jr. as his car owner, he’d obviously sign the paper that day.”
Hall did have an interesting comment regarding his future with JR Motorsports.
“[I’m] super blessed,” Hall said. “I just want to keep working hard and finish my time at JR Motorsports as best as possible.”
When asked if that means his time at JR Motorsports is ending this year, Hall said “[The] year is going to end, is all.”
Parker Eatmon finished second in the Virginia Triple Crown and Carson Loftin finished third.
