ValleyStar Credit Union 300 entry list expands to 79
An updated entry list for Saturday’s ValleyStar Credit Union 300 now has 79 names as the field for the richest and most prestigious Late Model Stock Car race in the country continues to grow.
Landon Huffman, Wake County Speedway champion Clay Jones, veteran racer Stacy Puryear, Ryan Millington, and former ValleyStar Credit Union 300 winner Jake Crum are among the latest batch of entries for the fall classic.
Practice and qualifying for the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 is scheduled to take place on Friday, however heavy rains and strong wind gusts from the remnants of what will soon be major Hurricane Helene are expected to impact the schedule. As of now, the heat races and the feature race are still set to commence on Saturday afternoon and evening.
Martinsville Speedway announced last week the purse for the 2024 renewal of the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 would remain unchanged from 2023, with a combined total of $125,000 up for grabs – with $32,000 and a Ridgeway Grandfather Clock going to the winner.
The pole award will pay $5,000, while stage wins will pay $1,000. Each lap pays $25 to the leader, with a total of $5,000 up for grabs in lap leader money.
