Kaden Honeycutt outduels Ty Majeski, Stephen Nasse for Snowball Derby victory

Late restart propels Honeycutt to the lead, win in Pensacola

Kaden Honeycutt used a lot of hustle and a little bit of muscle to get past Ty Majeski and score the victory in the 57th Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway on Sunday afternoon.

Honeycutt and Majeski each exchanged bump-and-runs to take the top spot, but Honeycutt ultimately prevailed with 19 laps to go.  From there, he was able to hold off a hard charging Stephen Nasse, who had chased Honeycutt down in the final 10 laps from over a second back.  Nasse, however, ran out of time.

“I can’t believe it,” Honeycutt said in victory lane.  “I never won a Super Late Model race until today.  I threw up a little bit but it’s just from me being excited.  Man, this is unbelievable.  I can’t believe it.”

Nasse settled for second while Majeski, Jace Hansen and William Sawalich rounded out the top-five.
