For short track fans in need of a fix this weekend, there are a handful of events to be consumed with numerous events across the country providing a live broadcast.

The marquee event to watch on Saturday night is the CARS Tour Throwback 276 pay-per-view from Hickory Motor Speedway in North Carolina. Featuring twin 138-lap races for Super Late Models and Late Model Stock Cars, the notable draw here is the inclusion of retro paint schemes and a broadcast that replicates the old TNN Motorsports look and feel.

Also available for free are weekly shows at Berlin Raceway, Langley Raceway and Tuscon Speedway.

Here’s a short list of short track racing streams for Saturday, August 5.

CARS Tour Throwback 276

A full field of Super Late Models and Late Model Stocks have descended upon the foothills of North Carolina and many of them have retro paint schemes paying homage to the rich history of stock car racing. The play-by-play will be handled by veteran announcer Tony Stevens and he’s secured the rights to the classic Nashville Network music made popular when it aired NASCAR, the American Speed Association and World of Outlaws events.

This is also round 9 of 11 on the CARS Tour schedule for both divisions and there are pretty good championship battles to be settled.

Layne Riggs leads JR Motorsports teammates Josh Berry and Anthony Alfredo by five points each for the Late Model Stock championship. Cole Rouse leads Brandon Setzer by 13 points in the Super Late Model duel.
