New Smyrna Speedway has jumped out to an early release for the World Series of Asphalt, which has a new look, running February 6-14 next year at the historic Florida half mile.
The 2026 edition will feature 15 divisions overall with headline events continuing to come in the form of the ASA STARS National Tour and the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.
However, new for next year is just four nights of racing for each division, with Super Late Models now running just Friday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday — the latter of which is the ASA STARS main event.
This new schedule eliminates the 100 lap championship race for the Supers, historically held on the Saturday night before the Daytona 500. That race was moved to Thursday this past year and eliminated altogether, recognizing that a lot of Super teams pack up and leave after the ASA race anyway.
The Pro Late Models will race on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
As for the Tour Type Modifieds, Saturday night is the Whelen Modified Tour opener and then a slight rules change will allow those same cars to compete in the World Series on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Other divisions include 602 Modified, Florida Modifieds, Sportsman, Bomber A, Bomber B
It all kicks off on Friday, February 6 with four divisions in action, including the Super Late Models, Sportsman, Bomber A, and Bomber B classes, Pro Trucks, the Florida Southern Ground Pounders and Winged Sprint Cars.
The entire week of racing will air live on FloRacing.
