ValleyStar Credit Union 300 postponed to Sunday

Rainfall from Tropical Storm Ophelia prompts Martinsville to move race to Sunday afternoon

WTVD-TV

Martinsville made the decision Saturday morning to postpone the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 to Sunday afternoon due to expected impacts from Tropical Storm Ophelia.

Heat races will take place at 1:00pm and the feature will go green at 5:00pm on Sunday, all broadcast live on FloRacing and MRN.  Before Martinsville Speedway installed its state-of-the-art LED lighting system in 2017, the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 had been a Sunday afternoon race.

The pre-race autograph session has been canceled, and all 40 spots will be determined in the four 25-lap heat races that will commence on Sunday afternoon.
