The 2019 season continues to get busier for Dumoulin Competition.

The Trois-Rivieres, Quebec team announced Thursday the addition of Jean-Federic Laberge for four events. Laberge will drive the No. 91 Dodge in the series four road course races, starting with the Victory Day season opener at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP).

“Jean-François and I have known each other for about 20 years, and I raced on the same team as Louis-Philippe in F1600,” Laberge said. “I have confidence in them, it is important for me to encourage a Quebec team, and they are people I know very well.”

The Quebec City, Quebec driver made a one-off start last season at GP3R for Micks Motorsports finishing 22nd after suffering mechanical problems. Prior to 2018, Laberge cut his teeth in Europe, winning numerous championships both internationally and domestically.

“Alex Tagliani, with whom I have been racing in Europe for several years, insisted that I race in this series and I found the experience interesting and the level of competition high,” said Laberge, who finished 22nd in his series debut at GP3R last season. “I particularly appreciate the road courses layouts that I know very well.”
